Hi, Samara.

Rain on the roof. Lots of work. At least I can get on with some interior signwork that won’t be too hampered by the rain. Yet I think I’ll go out in a few minutes and do a late jog in the rain—just to help keep my pumper maintained—and as a means to help with stress management. Also, I may be kind of strange, but jogging offers some of my best prayer time.

Have a good day.

Love, Tua.

Proverbs 15
Focus: “The eyes of the LORD are everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.” Proverbs 15:3.

Think about it, Samara. How many people do you suppose would do all the things they do without restraint if they KNEW they were being watched at all times?—not only watched, but constantly recorded?—every word, every action, even every thought?—all captured in high definition format and filed for instantaneous playback at an appointed time in the future? How many? I would guess, NOT MANY—IF ANY. But if I am reading the Scriptures accurately, that is precisely what every one of us is subjected to—24/7. And if this is TRUE, don’t you agree that this is a very important concept to live with and maintain at the front of our thinking.

Need I say more? Well—maybe it would be good to let the Word say more, just to drive this idea home. I’ll cite 3 related passages that are worth reviewing.

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad” (2 Corinthians 5:10).

“But because of your stubbornness and your unrepentant heart, you are storing up wrath against yourself for the day of God's wrath, when his righteous judgment will be revealed. God "will give to each person according to what he has done." To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, he will give eternal life. But for those who are self-seeking and who reject the truth and follow evil, there will be wrath and anger. There will be trouble and distress for every human being who does evil: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile; but glory, honor and peace for everyone who does good: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile. For God does not show favoritism” (Romans 2:5-11).

“Behold, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End” (Revelation 22:12-13).

“Death and destruction lie open before the LORD— how much more the hearts of men!”
