Now just a minute! Let’s think about this! It simply does not play out to be a valid axiom in all cases. After all, there is a huge range of diversity in how people view and define what is GOOD. So a good name for one person may be a rotten name for another, depending on their bias and worldview. There are some mindsets where a “suicide bomber” is regarded as supremely good, while other ideologies view that same “suicide bomber” as supremely evil. Therefore, the major factor in making this proverb fit and apply is to determine who is doing the judging.
In an ideal setting where everyone shares a common worldview, a common acceptance of Biblical authority, with a common set of values concerning good and evil, true and false, and right and wrong, this proverb becomes profoundly positive. But whereas mankind is all over the place in setting his ideological compass, while the Almighty remains the same yesterday, today, and forever, we are wisest to comply with the standards and judgments of the Almighty.
