Insightful Musings on the Scriptures

Good morning, dear ones.

I was in the electronics section of BiMart yesterday, rather spell-bound by the animated movie being played on their gang of television displays. It’s amazing what they can create as appearing so real, yet nothing more than a bunch of wild imagination via the medium of megapixels. It is all so dream-like—more like a bad dream—more like a night mare—all the intense action, involving weird monster creatures—doing supernatural feats in violent combat. Then we open the book of Revelation and—wow!—it’s more of the same! Can we believe that John was beholding the real deal?—or is it just more wild imagination? I’m not sure I know how to answer that conclusively. But I am confident that even if John was not viewing absolute reality within a spiritual dimension, at least it was all representative of that reality.

Moving right along—we’ve completed our walk/jog up the hill. I think I’ll return to the house now and fabricate another breakfast fruit salad. Then I’ll probably eat some. And beyond that, somewhere along the line, I need to get some work done.

I guess I should put out the reminder that we’ve slated the 15th as a point for updating the recipient list. I will assume that those presently on the list who do not request remaining on it by then are indirectly indicating a preference to be removed. And that’s OK.

Blessings. Love, Dad/Ray.

Revelation 4
Focus: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power…” Revelation 4:11.

I’m familiar with this verse in song form. It’s a great piece of musical expression. But I’m thinking it would also be a very good verse to paint on my wall as a constant reminder of how essential this is as a mindset for doing life. After all, most people are not so programmed—which, of course, is a natural affect of the NATURAL SIN NATURE. I have acquired sufficient experience to know that when this core orientation is blurred, everything else tends to deteriorate.

Which operating system do you have in your computer? This computer I’m typing on right now uses Windows 7. But when it comes to setting up my life computer, I take it as good advice to install Revelation 4:11 as my operating system. That makes a lot of good sense to me. Indeed this is the operating system designed and prescribed by my Manufacturer.

You can’t read this description of John’s vision without concluding that IT’S ALL ABOUT HIM. In this regard, let me review the theme verse and add some parenthetical comments: “You are worthy (Not you or me.), our Lord (That means Boss!) and God (Sovereign Designer Manufacturer), to receive glory and honor and power (He has it all anyway…but you and I have the privilege of participation), for you created all things (How many things are ALL THINGS?), and by your will (KJV says “for thy good pleasure”) they were created and have their being (It’s ALL about Him!).”

Good introspective question: Am I all about Him? Or, am I all about me?—or some other inferior operating system?

“Since we fight for the liberty to worship, should we not make more use of that liberty?”
