22 Mar 11
Good morning, dear people.
Out two little grandkids, Kaden and Nicholas, will be here
in a few minutes…which will influence the whole day. I guess I’d
better be ready to do a jog with Kaden. Then it will be a matter of
trying to select priorities of highest urgency out of my big list of
objectives.
Have
fun with your day. Be blessed. Maintain your Rock.
Love, Dad/Ray

Proverbs 22
Focus: “Do not move an ancient boundary stone set up by your forefathers.” Proverbs 22:28.
Without being a great student of history, I have to
wonder if there has ever been a time in human history when there has
been a more drastic and popular MOVING OF ANCIENT BOUNDARY STONES.
And, of course, I’m mainly thinking of those BOUNDARY STONES of
national, moral, and Biblical truth. For example, in regards to our
own nation, how about the BOUNDARY STONE of our Constitution and the
intentions clearly articulated by our FOREFATHERS? How about the tried
and proven BOUNDARY STONE of our Judeo-Christian work ethic that
expects one to earn the food they eat? How about the BOUNDARY STONE of
marriage being an arrangement between one man and one woman? How about
the BOUNDARY STONE of the sanctity of life and the protection of the
unborn? How about the BOUNDARY STONE of sex within marriage only? How
about the BOUNDARY STONE of citizen’s rights in contrast with a
perverse legal system that seems to grant more rights to criminals and
illegal aliens than to law-abiding tax-paying citizens? Whew!
The most important BOUNDARY STONE of all is a FEAR OF THE
LORD—the reverence and worship of the God of the Bible. Are you aware
of a stepped up campaign within our world and nation to not just move
but REVOVE this ANCIENT BOUNDARY STONE? We could list lots of
scriptures where the ANCIENT writers referred to the LORD as a ROCK.
I’ll quote Isaiah 26:4 as an example: “Trust in the LORD forever, for
the LORD, the LORD, is the Rock eternal.”
None of us have direct control over what is done in the
macrocosm of our world and nation that MOVES ANCIENT BOUNDARY STONES.
We, of course, should lend any positive influence we reasonably can.
But to be sure, we are all personally responsible to maintain and
protect the ANCIENT BOUNDARY STONES within the microcosm of our own
hearts and lives.
May
the ROCK ETERNAL be your ETERNAL ROCK! That way you’ll
never be moved when others MOVE ANCIENT BOUNDARY STONES SET UP BY YOUR
FOREFATHERS.
“The egotist says, ‘Everyone has a right to my opinion.’”
