60's Alumni Reunion/Retreat
July 29-31, 2011
Sedro-Woolley, WA

We're on vacation here and we do not run on atomic time. Expect a little flexing of the published times.

SCHEDULE:

FRIDAY - July 29, 2010

Arrival: Campers will be arriving and setting up throughout the day and evening.

5:30 - 7:00 PM - Traditional picnic style BBQ dinner with hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, etc.

7:00 - 9:30 PM - Visiting, Informal Fellowship, testimonies and a Bluegrass Style Sings around the campfire with return guests, Eric & Barbara West.

SATURDAY - July 30, 2010

7:30 - 9:30 AM - Breakfast - pancakes, eggs, sausage, bacon prepared on the open fire

9:30 - 12:00 noon - Open - visit, hike, golf, music rehersals, prepare for potluck lunch

12:00 - 2:00 PM - Potluck Picnic - time to feast and fellowship

2:00 PM - Group Photo - We've put this on the schedule because we don't want to forget to do it!

2:00 - 4:30 PM - Songfest - We’ll have a wonderful afternoon of sharing from many of our Alums, plus a segment featuring the Jim Arneson Family Revival consisting of Alum Jim Arneson, his wife Cheryl, and daughter Aimee. We’ll also hear from Dr. D.V. Hurst, NU President from 1966-1990.

4:30 - 7:00 PM - Open - Visiting and evening meal

7:00 - 9:00 PM - Afterglow - We’ll have a lot of impromptu fireside singing, special music & testimonies plus a Candlelight Prayer Service where we will focus upon prayer for specific needs of our Alums.


SUNDAY - July 31, 2010

8:00 - 9:30 AM - Breakfast  - Continental breakfast & fellowship

10:00 - 12:00 Noon - Final Session -  Worship & Communion service:  1961 Alum, Jed Minton, will be ministering the Word.

12:00 - 2:00 PM - Lunch & Camp Clean-up


FOOD & DINING ARRANGEMENTS:

Friday Night - BBQ over the campfire with hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad & baked beans provided. (Guests are welcome to bring anything they might like to contribute to the meal. If you have specific dietary requirements we ask that you plan to bring along the appropriate food for your needs.)

Saturday Morning - Breakfast over the campfire - pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage.

Saturday Noon - Potluck Picnic - Everybody contributes something: hot dishes, salads, fruit, desserts.  (This is a grand buffet. Bring your specialty!)

Saturday Night - graze potluck leftovers.

Sunday Morning - Continental Breakfast with juice, coffee, fruit, muffins, sweet rolls etc.

Sunday Noon -  Finish leftovers and BBQ remaining hamburgers and hot dogs.

The coordinators do a pre-event shopping trip, and will provide the basic supplies for the Friday night meal.  Included will be coffee, soft drinks, bottled water, condiments, paper products and utinsils for the weekend.
