Connie Logan came to Northwest College in 1961 from Rock Springs, Wyoming.  Many alumni of the 60's will remember her as the ASB Secretary/Treasurer during the '64-'65 school year, or as President of the Far East Missionary Prayer Band in 1963-64.  Others will remember her as that girl who worked in the Library.  Right after she and Larry were married in the summer of '65, Larry was drafted, and went into the Navy.  While Larry was in boot camp, Connie returned and finished her degree at Northwest in 1966.

Larry Hice grew up in Bridgeport, Washington, and after a year of college inLarry & Connie Hice November 2007 in Israel
Wenatchee, he enrolled at Northwest in the fall of 1963.  Larry's education at NU was interrupted by a letter from his uncle Sam.  In 1966 he was inducted into the US Navy where he would serve the next four years.  While "seeing the world" in the Navy, Connie made use of her education and taught school in Virginia, and Guam.

After Larry was discharged from the Navy, he and Connie moved back to Washington, and enrolled in Eastern Washington University at Cheney where Connie finished her degree in Elementary Education.  Connie put in about 20 years as an elementary school teacher.  Most of her career was spent teaching in Christian Schools.  Larry earned his degree in Business/Finance, and went on to work for the IRS. For the 25 years he worked for the IRS, he simultaneously served in the Coast Guard Reserves.  During the first 12 years they lived in the Spokane area, and then  moved to Anchorage, AK until Larry's retirement from the IRS and Coast Guard Reserves in 1999.  Larry excelled in the Coast Guard, and retired with the rank of "Captain".

In 1999 Connie and Larry moved back to the Spokane area, where they took over management of Eastern Washington Camp, known to most of us as "Silver Lake Camp".  They finished that assignment in 2005 and moved to Post Falls, Idaho where Larry still holds down two part-time jobs.  He still manages the water treatment plant at Silver Lake, and also drives boat for The Coeur d'Alene Resort.  He and Connie attend Valley Assembly in Spokane where NU Alum Al Hulten has been the Pastor for almost 24 years.

Larry and Connie have two children, a son Scott (38) and daughter Shelli (35).  Scott is single.  He served in the military as an Army Ranger and subsequently has worked for a private security company providing security for personnel in Iraq. He is currently on assignment in Israel.  Their daughter, Shelli, her husband Dan Perkins and their 2 children live in Eagle River, AK where Shelli is a beautician/hair stylist.
