Both
Ken and Linda were taken to China by Missionary parents back in the
1940s. Linda returned to the U.S. when she was about 5 and Ken
was taken to Taiwan where he stayed through High School and became very
fluent in two Chinese languages.
Ken and Linda were married right after they graduated from Northwest
University in 1967. After pastoring for 3 years in Oregon, they
went to Asia as Missionaries where they have now served for more than
40
years.
Ken and Linda have given mission leadership through the years in
Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Mongolia and China. For the past 30 years
they have based in Hong Kong as they travel to other Asian Countries.
They also pastored the International Christian Assembly church in
Hong Kong for 7 years that has 3000 in attendance with 10 language
congregations today.
Their ministry has included church planting, Discipleship, helping to
open up Mongolia to the Gospel, and giving leadership to a great
missionary team in several Asian countries. They also served all
across many parts of China for about 20 years.
The Benintendis have one Child, Melody, who graduated from NU in 1993.
Today, Melody, married to Wayne Crook, pastor an International
Church in Hong Kong at the top of a sky scraper. Melody is also a
full time teacher in an International school. Ken and Linda have
two Grandchildren, Kayla, 12, and Riley, 9.
