Hi, Samara.

Sorry we missed you yesterday. It was kind of fun to be out with your dad, sister, and brothers, processing firewood with the heavy snow coming down. It’s working at disappearing now with the warming and heavy rains. In fact the rain is pounding the roof right now, even as I type.Thano and Sylvester the cat

Just for the fun of it, I’ll stick on a photo of Thano after he bagged a wild panther. Kidding. Just our kitty, Sylvester.

Have a good night. Love, Tua.

Proverbs 8
Focus: “To the discerning all of them are right; they are faultless to those who have knowledge.” Proverbs 8:9.

I like the saying that goes like this: HE THAT HAS AN EXPERIENCE IS NOT AT LOSS BEFORE HIM WHO ONLY HAS AN ARGUMENT. In application, it is our experience of conversion where we are enlightened by God’s Spirit to see, understand, and know some important things that makes us strong against the attacks and arguments of those who are not so enlightened. The unenlightened person sees and hears God’s Word and judges it to be a bunch of waste paper—a lot of unimportant nonsense. But we embrace that same Word of God as valuable inspiration, light, life, and guidance. What makes the difference? It has to be that mystical activation by the Spirit that turns on our lights of discernment and knowledge.

Listen to David’s applause of God’s Word as a valuable resource of discernment and knowledge:

“The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul.
The statutes of the Lord are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
The precepts of the Lord are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
The fear of the Lord is pure, enduring forever.
The ordinances of the Lord are sure and altogether righteous.
They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;
they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb.
By them is your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.”

Psalms 19:7-11

If we can accept and agree with this expression, we too can participate in the same discernment he displays, and the same knowledge he knows.

“Blessed is the man who listens to me,watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway.”
