Greeting on this beautiful summer morning.

Yes—I know—it’s been a long time. My last post was August 6. I’m falling apart—so is my daily routine. But I refuse to neglect worshiping my Maker.

We plan to head out in a few minutes for a walk/jog. I think I may just walk. I’m actually on antibiotics recovering from a kidney infection. Hopefully, our excursion will include picking some blackberries on our way back. Among other things, Becki makes a terrific cobbler.

God bless you and yours today.

Love, Dad/Ray.

Passages: Psalms 59 / Proverbs 17
Focus: "But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.” Psalms 59:16.

Just to reinforce my “AMEN” response to David’s prayer and affirmation, I grabbed the guitar here in my private studio and made some singing sounds of worship—singing of His greatness, love, and His being my fortress and refuge in times of trouble. Do I know anything about times of trouble? Yes—indeed I do. In fact I face some daunting ones right now. I won’t take time to describe them here, but it doesn’t really matter so much if you know all about my troubles—or if I know all about yours. What really matters is that we both KNOW that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS—GOOD, BAD, TERRIBLE, OR WONDERFUL—HE IS STILL WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE AND WORSHIP.

This psalm begins with a header note, part of which reads: “Of David. A miktam. When saul had sent men to watch David’s house in order to kill him.” I have to admit that I have never had a bunch of warriors around my house with the hope of getting me in their crosshairs. At least not yet. But it may be soon. Who knows. They may kick your door in too. After all, this globe is headed for the worst period of TRIBULATION it has ever seen. That’s a Biblical promise relative to the end times. And I’m convinced that the end times is NOW. I’m also convinced that a very worthy mindset and resolve to carry into whatever comes is this affirmation by David. I’ll repeat it. “But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.”

“Of what use is money (or, how about blessings, success, health, prosperity, etc?)
in the hand of a fool, since he has no desire to get wisdom?”
~ Proverbs 17:16 ~
