Greetings, dear people.

It’s been a long time. Lots going on. Super busy. I just wanted to get off at least a shorty tonight before dropping into bed. It’s way past my bedtime.

Good night.

Love, Dad/Ray.

Psalm 48 / Proverbs 6
Focus: "Within your temple, O God, we meditate on your unfailing love.” Psalm 48:9.

Since we don’t do the Old Testament temple stuff anymore, a meaningful way apply the idea for us today is to relate it to the New Testament principle of our being temples (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Indeed, it is there—within the secret and private chambers of our own hearts and minds that we do our meditating.

I find relevant inspiration within this Psalm simply by connecting the first half of the first verse with the second half of the last verse—making it read this way: “Great is the LORD, and most worthy of praise; he will be our guide even to the end.” That helps to formulate a great recipe of hope, security, and trust as we navigate the wild ride of the rest of our lives.

“For these commands are a lamp, this teaching is a light,
and the corrections of discipline are the way to life…”

~ Proverbs 6:23 ~
