Good morning, dear ones.

Becki and I did a walk/jog up the hill. Surprise, surprise!—Thano went with us.

Lots on the agenda for the day—but I wasn’t boasting about it yesterday—back when tomorrow carries on to be today.

Blessings on your 24-hour segment.

Love, Dad/Ray.

Psalms 118 / Proverbs 27
Focus: "Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.” Psalm 118:1, 29.

These lines flow very nicely to accommodate a simple chorus. I just grabbed my guitar and spent some time singing it. It feels good. (I suppose I could try recording and sending it—upon request of course.) Repeating the verse twice completes the chorus. Then sing it again—then again—then again. It offers a form of positive brain-washing. The Lord knows very well how much we need our brains washed. I think we are wise to know it too.

Speaking of songs, you probably already know verse 24 in song form—“This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Since our entire lives are made up of time segments called DAYS, this a fundamental truth to carry with us every day of our living. Each day is not made by the government or any human ingenuity, and not entirely by random circumstance. Each 24-hour segment is made by the LORD. He puts into it what He chooses, we put into it what we choose, others add their influences—and bingo!—there we have a very unique day—as unique as a fingerprint.

Whereas each day is so individual with its unforeseen contents, Solomon offers this sound advice: “Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring forth” (Proverbs 27:1). On the other hand, we can predetermine our attitudes for engaging in tomorrow. A good attitude to schedule is,“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever.”

“As water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man.”
