Good morning, dear ones.

I need to hurry to get off to finishing up a little sawmill job. I think there are only 3 logs left to do. I decided to knock off a little early yesterday afternoon just to spend some time at home surrounding BECKI’S BIRTHDAY, and the visit of Thano’s two boys. We ended up keeping the boys overnight as their mommy is sick.

Life continues to be congested—all kinds of stuff hassling these little compositions.

Blessings on your day. It sure is a beauty here at present.

Love, Dad/Ray.

Psalms 111 / Proverbs 20
Focus: "If a man curses his father or mother, his lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.” Proverbs 20:20.

I’m tempted to pick up on a kind of play on words as presented by the address of the FOCUS VERSE—“20:20”—and link it with the common classification of healthy sight—“20/20 vision.” The idea fits particularly well when expanding the meaning of “father” to “our heavenly Father.” Arguments and accusations against the Most High can be equal to a curse—at least such attitudes demean and challenge His integrity and righteousness. And such darkened attitudes guarantee “pitch darkness.” There is absolutely no hope for a wimpy human who thinks he is capable, qualified, and morally superior so as to pass judgment on Sovereignty. He will never see clear and straight. “This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil” (John 3:19-20).

Psalm 111 is definitely a great example of an enlightened and corrected worldview that recognizes and applauds the way the Creator has designed and willed things to be. The first verse demonstrates the premise of positive choice—“I will extol the LORD with all my heart…” The proper management of the human will (right choices) is the basis for the fulfillment of God’s will—and a very good definition of Biblical wisdom. And the last verse is a wonderful concise standard to live by: “The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom (choosing the best choices); all who follow his precepts have good understanding. To him belongs eternal praise” (Psalm 111:10).

“The works of his hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy.
They are steadfast for ever and ever, done in faithfulness and uprightness.”
~ Psalm 111:7-8 ~
