Insightful Musings on the Scriptures

Greetings, dear ones.

The big winds yesterday knocked our electricity off for a while—and knocked down a section of Thano’s chicken fence. So the critters are all out free for the time being. I’ll try to take some time to do some make-shift repairs today in Thano’s absence. He returns from New York tomorrow.

I think I need to get to the mill this morning and process a few more logs. There’s not much more to do there—after which I can haul the mill back home.

Another tangent we may spend some time on today has to do with a vehicle. Whereas our little Camry has over 316,000 miles on it, we’re in a mode to scan options for a replacement.

Have a blessed day.

Love and prayers—Ray.

Revelation 4
Focus: "You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power…” Revelation 4:11.

I’m familiar with this verse in song form. It’s a great piece of musical expression. But I’m thinking it would also be a very good verse to paint on my wall. That could help me to remember it and maintain it as an essential anchor point for doing life. I have acquired sufficient experience to observe that when this core orientation is blurred, everything else tends to deteriorate.

Which operating system do you have in your computer? This computer I’m typing on right now uses Windows 7. But when it comes to setting up your life computer, it would be good advice to install Revelation 4:11 as your operating system. After all, it makes a lot of good sense to install on your computer the operating system that has been designed and prescribed by its Manufacturer.

Let’s review and add some parenthetical comments: “You are worthy (Not you or me.), our Lord (That means Boss!) and God (Sovereign Designer Manufacturer), to receive glory and honor and power (He has it all anyway…but you and I have the privilege of participation.), for you created all things (How many things are ALL THINGS?), and by your will (KJV says “for thy good pleasure.”) they were created and have their being (It’s ALL about Him!).”

“Since we fight for the liberty to worship, should we not make more use of that liberty?”
