Proverbs 21
Focus: “There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.”  Proverbs 21:30.
Since I have already established in my own mind the FACT of an infinitely big Sovereign God to Whom I am accountable, this statement is something like a “no brainer.”  It’s on a par with a thesis like WATER IS WET.  The way I see things, there is absolutely NOTHING of man’s making that can possibly or successfully oppose the power and purposes of the Almighty.  Any human attempting to do so is as absurd as attempting to hold back the power and volume of Niagara Falls with a stick.
If what I just said is true—that I, Raymond P. Sparre, really truly believe that “There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD,” how should I be expected to feel when I behold so much evidence of people attempting to do so—to circumvent, deny, deceive, outsmart, and over-power the Most High?  Does it not stand to reason that by so believing I force myself to bear a huge amount of pain and agony over the obvious fact that many people, if not most, DO NOT TRULY BELIEVE THIS TRUTH?—knowing that their disbelief will render severe eternal consequences?  Why would intelligent people so disbelieve?  I can only think of two reasons—(1) ignorance, or (2) rebellion.
OK—I admit that I cannot PROVE the truth of this truth.  But neither can anyone PROVE that this truth is not true.  To be sure, truth is truth whether or not I believe it is true.  Is that true?  Therefore, the best option is the safest one.  And I cannot escape the reasoning that it is really quite dumb for little pip-squeak finite humans to be opposing Almighty God with the notion that they are any where near equal to the debate.
Let me say it another way: This truth brings me both unspeakable joy and pain all at the same time.  And you know what?—I think it’s supposed to be that way.
