Here are a couple of updates on my family. My daughter, LaVyonne Young-Barnes (whom I named after Yvonne and Lavonne of '66'-67' because they were both beautiful, musical and very compassionate about living a godly life; I have never seen either of the girls again to tell them LOL), is the Youth Pastor of the New Hope Four Square Church in Vancouver, WA. She is also Worship leader and is starting up a Celebrate Recovery "Landing" for youth there. Her oldest son and my grandson, Blake Barnes, is the Youth Pastor of East Hill Four Square Church in Gresham, OR. Her daughter, my granddaughter, just gave me my first great grandson last January, Miles Johnson, and she and her husband are the children's pastors of the New Hope Four Square Church in Vancouver, WA. We all have a lot to be thankful for regarding the "fruits" God has graciously blessed us with as we left Northwest College and followed the footsteps of the Holy Spirit.
