Hello everyone,

Ardyth and I trust you are having a good time in the new year. We are thankful that you have continued to be concerned for us, and especially Ardyth. We appreciate your prayers and thoughts for us these past months.

Ardyth is doing well in her recovery, and is gaining strength to be able to do most things around the house. Some things are still a little heavy for her, as she lost alot of muscle and weight. She just carries a little less weight as she does some things. She is doing no house cleaning of any sort, but does some clothes and dish washing as she feels up to it. I try to be sure she does not overdue it. She is sleeping good now, with 7 to 9 hours at night and some time in naps during the day.

Our doctors are pleased with her progress, and the surgeon does not need to see her until mid-February. Our family doctor is seeing her every two to four weeks, and helping with some the minor issues like swelling in her legs and feet, and trying to improve her appitite to gain some weight. She was down to 100 pounds when she got home Nov. 30 and has only gained back about 5 pounds. But she is working at it. We know it just will take time. We do get out some, and go walking a couple times a week at a local shopping center where we can walk for awhile and it is warm. Last time she even wanted some ice cream, which we had.

I trust you all have a good winter and spring out into the warm weather, except those of you in Arizona and Hawaii. We love you all.

Jack and Ardyth
