Hello family and friends,

As you know, today was the day for Ardyth to go in for her surgery for the Whipple Procedure. We left here at 5:30 this morning for the hospital, and by 11:15 am, the Dr. came out to tell us he was successful in completing the surgery and she should have no more problems with with this tumor or any remnants of it.

PRAISE THE LORD AND WE ARE THANKFUL TO EACH OF YOU FOR YOUR CONCERNS, THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS. Your heartfelt support really helped Ardyth and I and our family. We all appreciate your support and many, many kind words. We do give God the Glory for bringing us through this ordeal.

She is resting now and I am going back to the hospital around 7:30 pm, after they do their special care and testing on all the patients in the ICU unit. She will be in ICU one or two nights and then on to a regular hospital room for about 5 days, based on her speed of recovery. She will stay there until she is ready to function, as we did last time.

Your prayers and concerns have given us the peace and comfort to endure this on a best basis way. Thank you again, and I will keep you posted on her progress. She told me to tell you she is thankful for so many family and friends who care so much.

Love, Jack
