Following the crash of the Airlift Northwest Helicopter he was piloting, Ken lost his job with that company in November 2005. He was out of work until early in 2006 when he was hired by Reach Air Medical Services located in Santa Rosa, California.  At that time, Reach operated air ambulance services from seven bases in Northern California, and were in the process of opening a new base of operation in Corvallis, Oregon.  Ken was hired to help staff that new Oregon base.  So, in the spring of 2006 Ken and Carol sold there home in Bonney Lake, Washington and moved to Albany, Oregon where they now live.

As of the writing of this update, Ken and Carol have been in Albany for two years.  He is very happy with  his job, and the company for which he works.  Reflecting back on the accident, and all the changes that followed, Ken wrote, "This was certainly a new adventure for us. The six seconds of that accident sequence have had a profound effect on our lives but the Lord has been with us through it all and things have worked out well in spite of our initial apprehensions."

Ken and Carol really appreciate all the prayers and support of family and friends, especially during those first days and weeks following the accident.
